I was there when the sun died,
Her agony ever-burning within me,
I stood atop the highest mountain,
And drained the daylight from my heart
In my dreams I heard them speak,
Like choirs of weeping angels,
From the coldest and blackest sky,
They bled the sorrow from my soul
I hear distant thunder roar,
When the flowers wither,
But it never reached my heart,
For a hidden light within,
Takes the shape of a bird,
And brings fire to my sky
Distant eyes watch it burn,
And slowly step from the dark
I am like the moon ablaze in black,
I feel the ground give way,
As I gather to bleed the night
I hear the children cry,
Weeping as I crush their pain,
Reverberating notes that sing,
In sweet harmonious suffering
And when these halls fall silent,
Shadows gather by torchlight,
They waltz across bloodstained walls,
And beckon me to join them
In the presence of great beauty,
Where all rivers run red with death,
And they flood my barren soul,
To burn the starlight from my eyes
I glare into burning eyes,
Hatred brighter than the sun,
Stand fast, be brave,
Think only of salvation,
As your corpse burns with bliss,
In the holiest of flame
