When the fleeting hour comes
I resign myself to dark,
And embrace decayed dreams,
Their whispers lull me to sleep
The burden in my silent eyes,
A storm which no sun could break,
But the scars are oh so warm,
How I yearn for their embrace
Arcane Eden fell silent,
A speck of dusk descending,
Consumed by an inner void,
As tears fall to the ground
Open your heart to winter,
Cherish it's searing chill,
And within the cold caress,
Catch a glimpse of heaven
To erect a crippled effigy,
To await my cascade,
Are the secrets I've severed,
And buried six feet inside
For my soul aflame,
Is burdened by perfection,
As I cast sorrow away,
Into a nameless, weeping sea
In shades of light - banished,
A voice within - screaming,
In shallow earth - buried,
Will to reflect - searing
Burdened to seek an obscure truth,
Through the fading footsteps,
A pathway to perpetual dawn,
Where no shadows blackens the sun
Here, in the absence of choice,
I dream another chance to fail
